This is actually a list of things, from which borrows certain writing and also a list of allusions and references. Mainly for those interested
- Arten (Aerten, sometimes Aerfen) Arianrod (Arhianrod) Brenwen (Branwen, Branwyn) - three priestesses of the Isle of Apple Tree with names inherited from the Celtic goddesses. Arten (Name in the end I decided to spolszczyć) is the goddess of the ruling purpose, but its jurisdiction covers mainly fighting, disputes and wars (as opposed to Arianrod). I thought that this fits a character who tries to win at all costs a happier future for his people. With Arianrod matter is more complicated. I started with this name, because I needed someone "stronger" than the deity of destiny and fell on Arianrod as a deity of time and reincarnation, because it's two things that (I think) are able to "beat" each of fate. To begin, I thought it was Gwen Arianrod give her a gift and that she would be the strongest of the trio, because I was going after the usual recital triple goddess and it would be my old woman. Then I changed my mind and it Brenwen , whose name was borrowed from the Celtic goddess of love, turned out to see the largest and most fully (which comes out quite kiczowato subtext, but it fits ^__~). I thought for a moment that they do not swap places, however, but then I decided it's even better that breaks this "triple" regimen.
- Affalach - Welsh name and the name of Avalon, who ruled the island (of course, only according to some versions). And besides, it appeared that it was not that on the island are the same women (although it just fits into most versions)
- Gwydion - Celtic god's name again, but mostly my eye to wink those who read "The Mists of Avalon" where the original, pagan, named Arthur was just Gwydion
- Igerna, Uter and past - not fit me there were many in the topic past the two, but I walked the line all the time designated by the story, which provisions of subparagraph figured out a long time ago, according to which it belonged to Igerny Camelot (actually her brother) and Uter was someone who won his power on the battlefield, and who married into the kingdom. Serial several times stressed that Uter was the ruler of a militant, and his power he won, but also showed us a Uter saying those who were buried vaults of Camelot as his ancestors, but in my personal canon is something that does Uter partly for propaganda purposes. My private canon for a time before the Great Purge also argues that Igerna not particularly fond of wizards and druids, because I felt that too much mix in its affairs. Unwillingness to govern the magical forces merged it with Uter and became the seed from which wykiełkowała then Great Purge. So I see it. A little at all in this echo "Mists of Avalon", mainly because it was the first thing associated with the legends arturiańskimi what I liked and always affects me a little for the rest.
- Island and the Isle of the Blessed Apple Tree - the Merlin are two different places, because the only island we find that there is a blessed island. Avalon is the place from which przyłażą blue fairies;) In the course Arturia one and the same or Celtic paradise and the final resting place of King Arthur (until the time when he returns in need, of course). The name comes from the word apple (again, Welsh), and hence the Apple Tree Island. With me is the unity of the two islands, although the name of decency, I avoid Avalon.
- tree - the idea came from one of the less popular version of the death of Merlin contained in the tree by the witch Nimue. An opportunity too good to not write about it therefore rated:) Also, apple is the Celtic tree of life, which also fits nicely the concept of Merlin in this universe.
- Guard Herbert - was stolen from Spamalotu, a musical based on the movie Monty Pythons. He was gay, and the prince and he became known that Lancelot has called for help, that this has saved him from the arranged marriage, which was preparing his father hates musicals;) Lancelot rescues him and reveals itself as a gay man, singing a song about it, and then there's Herbert Lancelot and live happily ever after. I could not for the kicks did not move (although in a very veiled version).
- Ants - are stolen, and it's alive, including the lame, are stolen from Culhwch and Olwen, which is one of the stories from the collection of sagas known as the Welsh Mabinogion. The whole situation happening to someone else (one of Arthur's knights) and a whole has to help his cousin Arthur Culhwchowi hand in getting Olweny, the daughter of a giant. This is in itself an awful lot of fairy tales, hence the climate.
- "chess" and the world over the world - starting point was a different part Mabignionu - Sen Rhonabwy'ego Rhonabwy-in which the dreams of the days of King Arthur and sees him playing with Owain in something a la chess. The rest does not agree:) I need that was mainly because I had the impression that there is not enough fiku Merlin and I was looking for some way to turn it into shares, and secondly, I had the impression that the whole is a little romance as Arian needs. I'm not completely satisfied with these fragments. Otherwise I would be staggered if I wrote it again, surely a little romance ujęłabym ;)
- Knight defends the source and the world inside source - borrowed, mainly, as a concept, with the theme, the Arthurian legends who have appeared in various editions, among others as Owain, a Countess from the fountain ( Mabignion ) or Iwen, or knight with a lion (Chretien de Troyes). An attempt, which Arthur goes there, that defeat pride by admitting to something nieuchodzącego knight is a very loose reference to Lancelot, or Knight in a wheelchair (also de Troyes), where Lancelot had some strange problems with being seen on the wheel;)
- A gift for Gwen - also comes inter alia from Lancelot, but also, perhaps, the Vulgate (more specifically the history of the emergence of the castle, Galahad). In both moments, the name of the form, we see that no one recognizes, is revealed to us by Guinevere. Somehow I went from that to the power of naming things.
- Love for Three Oranges - that is inspired by the original. It's hard to even find the network, as such, a summary of the tale, so let's stay here at the most important things for kicks. First, it is a fable about a prince who was plunged in grief, until he saw the windows of the palace, like a witch Fata Morgana stumbles and falls. He laughed aloud, and the witch so angry that she threw a curse on it (love orange). Prince journeyed so look for these orange and the many perturbations in the end it was, and of course in any was beautiful girl (but the Prince was stupid, and two died before zmądrzał), which, of course, quickly changes places him in such an ugly and bad (because it was not too kumaty), and the good turned into a bird. At the end of the course was a happy ending and the bird was turned back at the woman and was married. I guess you can see what it took - Morgan as a person giving a "curse" (in this prophecy), the concept of the object of love which is the de facto result, the transformation into a bird.
- second season - Freja, Morgause, etc.. - I wrote a very long time, which I think everybody knows, so a lot of the canon has changed between the moment when I began to think over everything and that, when I finished writing. The starting point for the characterization of the form was the first season, but the little things, which they learned along the way in the second season (and in one case and a third) were included in the action where the suit, which is mainly in the second part of the kicks. Freya fits like a glove in the sample, although at first I took her there not to be and the beast was supposed to be just a beast, but it always seemed to me that the canon was given her very little and I wanted to do something more with it. Besides, I enjoyed making it a true priestess of Avalon and the equation of its history with the "official" version (ie, this popular). Morgause is for me more or less what seemed to be in the 2x08 - Arthur's fairly ambiguous terms, not quite bad, with extensive knowledge. I feel sorry for this little Morgause (but as I pity Morgana ...). In general I tried to where can you suggest some elements of the later canon, but only symbolically, because he bit the other way than we expected. But it is (including lavender dresses Gwen and her corset). I tried it, so it's all been gentle suggestion that the thing could possibly end up like in the most famous version of the legend (even in what Brenwen gave Gwen Lancelot can be read as a stubborn man ^__^)
- Music - as that I wrote it so long, I listened a lot, but it's a lot of things. Threw a little too into a special folder called "music for the trees" and this is like the unofficial soundtrack to the whole. I threw him as he stood to this folder, so you can view who is curious. I am trying to podopisywać each song, to which / whom she was supposed to be (need to click on the number on a blue background, to see the comments), but it is not terribly precise.
If anyone has any questions about anything (including things "what the author had in mind when he wrote X or Y" is here in this entry to such questions is the best place)
